Where was the first case of AIDS diagnosed?

I came down with a case of mono and had my first symptoms about three weeks ago and got officially diagnosed?

• about a week and a half ago. I had a followup appointment a week after I got diagnosed and it went well, all of my symptoms were gone or much better. After seeing the doctor she told me I needed to go in for a liver test which I guess is pretty standard for mono. She called me after the weekend and said my liver functions were "a little high" and she wanted to retest my liver a month from today. Heres the killer, she says I cant drink any alcohol until then. Im no raging alcoholic, but I mean there are alot of big events coming up i the next month, my b day, halloween, nuggets game ect. Im just wondering if someone who knows what they are talking about or have been through something similar could tell me what their experience was like, if they did in fact drink, how bad it would be for me if I did, how much I could drink without having serious consequences or anything else you think would be helpful. Also I don't know if it matters or not but, I'm young (21) and I have no other health problems, just incase that effects anyones answers. Thanks for the help.

  When I had mono (and was 21) I was told I couldn't drink because I could damage my liver, or play contact sports for a year or more because of an enlarged spleen. This was a huge sacrifice for me, not playing sports or drinking. But I did it so that I'd be able to do those things later. I know you think that a few months of not drinking is the end of the world when you're young, but you're going to have to use that body for another 70 years or so, so you should probably take care of it. Keep in mind that if you damage your liver by drinking when your doctor tells you not to you may damage your liver to the point where you'll have to give up drinking forever.
