Mucus dripping at the back of my throat?

What could be wrong with me? Sore throat and more...?

  • Hey there, I have been having a sore throat for the past three weeks now. It hurts so bad that it's hard to swallow. I don't have any fever or any aches or anything. I have this cough like I'm about the cough up a lung. It is a hacking "smokers" type cough and it is continuous (I smoke menthols.) I also have tons and tons of mucus! I mean it is literally just dripping and running down the back of my nose into my throat. It is so thick that it's hard to swallow sometimes especially coupled with the sore throat. I don't know if this actually pertains to this at all, but I have been sweating excessively! I am hot continuously and sweating. Does anyone know what this could be?

    try taking your temp to see if you have a fever. (hotness and sweatyness is cause of a fever) look at your tonsils to see if they are swollen or have white on them. if there is a white bump in the back of your throat it is called an abcess and is full of puss. this occurs from an infection in your throat and is very dangerous! and are you very tired all the time? my thoughts are that you prob have mono.

If you haven't talked to your doctor already you should. But if you cant try warm salt water and kind of rinse your mouth out with it. Or if that doesn't help try researching so remedies online for your throat if you don't have another problems. Try looking on webMd or sites like that if you can find anything to help.
