Is my cartilage piercing infected, and if so what should I do?
-
I got my cartilage pierced around three weeks ago from a very clean, reputable piercing place. Up until yesterday everything seemed fine, very minimal pain (only when i accidentally touched it or my hair got caught in it). I've been using the saline spray the piercing place gave me 3-5 times per day as recommended. Yesterday I noticed that the piercing was hurting a lot. It doesn't look abnormal, there is just a throbbing pain 24/7 (unless I take advil or some other pain medication). Is my piercing starting to get infected? If so, should I use a sea salt soak or some other remedy?

Answer:
Go back to the piercing store and let them check it. They will know if what you are going through is normal or not. Best of luck!
