What are my chances of getting into Villanova?

What are the chances of getting salmonella poisoning from raw eggs?

  • I know that when you cook eggs, you kill anywhere from 50% to 80% of the protein found in 1 individual egg. So to get more protein, AND save money, I want to know what the risk is for getting salmonella from 1 egg. Whatever I could do to reduce the chance of getting it from the raw egg if the chances are already low? I don't want some stupid answer saying "you're stupid, don't eat raw eggs." I'm making the choice on my own based on the chances of getting salmonella... If the chances are high, I'll forget it and just use more money and cook them, I just want to have the most protein possible from a protein diet Thanks ahead of time for any answers that help me. Number odds would be greatly appreciated. ^_^ saying that the chances are "high" or "extremely dangerous" (if the chances are even really that high) gives me an idea, but numbers are always more accurate and helpful. Thanks :)

  • Answer:

If you buy them from the store the risk is probably quite low. Commercially sold eggs are checked and tested, to make sure they are safe. If you get your eggs fresh from a farm, always cook them first
