What would be a positive arthritis treatment and medications for shoulder pain?

Severe Shoulder Arthritis?

• I was recently diagnosed with severe shoulder arthritis; bone on bone, caused by dislocation (9 years ago) and shoulder surgery (3 years ago). I'm only 20 years old. My doctor said that I'm 20 but have the shoulder of an 80 year old. He said that really the only treatment that I qualified for was coutison injections. I had two in the past with no change, made the pain worse. He said I was too young for shoulder replacement. But the pain is keeping me awake at night and I'm not able to do too much without the pain putting an end to what I'm doing. Does anybody have ideas or advice for treatment or pain relief?
