How Long Does The Average Fever Last With No Antibiotics?

Once you start antibiotics about howe long does it take for a stre throat fever to go away?

• I knew I had strep throat on Thursday night, and went in to see the dr on Friday. I have been on the antibiotics for 48 and still have a fever over 100.0. I thought the fever should have been gone by now and I am thinking about going to the er.

  It might be a good idea to go to the ER, your temperature shouldn't stay that high if you are on antibiotics. I'm not quite sure what stre is, did you mean strep? Once you get it once, it never goes away, just goes dormant. I get strep a couple times a year, it's kinda like herpes... O.o Not really related to your question, but hopefully still helpful!
