How long do you have to go to college to be a receptionist?

I go to college and can't visit my doctor, what do I do?

  • Before I went off to college I had troubling symptoms: fatigue, headaches, facial nerve palsy, and sore muscles. I got an MRI and it came back clear, thank God. I also got a blood test, testing me for a variety of things, one of them being Lyme Disease. The receptionist just called me and asked if I could come in to see the doctor to discuss the results. I told her that I couldn't because I go to school in a different state. I asked her to have the doctor call me because I am unsure of what to do. I have already delayed treatment for at least 4 months since that is how long I have had symptoms. I don't want to delay any longer. Should I go to a new doctor down at school?

  • Answer:

If it's Lyme disease, you don't want to delay any longer. Does your college have a student health center? Otherwise, find a doctor nearby. Be advised that the lab tests for Lyme are unreliable--they can say you don't have it when you actually do. Also, you can get multiple diseases from the same tick bite. You should also be evaluated for babesiosis and other tick-borne infections. Yes, go to a doctor near your school

Go to a doctor near the college and they will have all your medical records transferred but if your blood test showed Lyme disease you would have a rash.

See a new doctor at your school and spill the beans on your tests and the docs name and address. Your new doc will take it from there. Also there should be a health center at your college if it is at all big. I would call your old doc and give a message for him to call you back so you can talk to him.
