Top of my ear cartliage is extremely swollen?

Swollen ear cartliage?

• About 5 days ago I went and my cartilage pierced; I had wanted it done for along time and my mum said I could get it done as soon as school finished. I went to a hairdressing place (Hairhouse Warehouse) in Australia and had it done. They pierced with a gun -_- ( not knowing that I shouldnt have gotten it done with a gun ) today was the first day i pulled my hair back ( is that bad ) I've also been able to sleep on it. Anyways my ear is very swollen and red BUT ISNT HURTING; is this the start of a infection? Im noway taking it out unless a ear piercer tells me too. Im a little worried because I have been reading heeps of things that could go wrong. Please help me ! btw im 15 :)

  You might be taking way too much risk by leaving it out, and you might need to be very careful if you pull it too. Either way you take a risk at spreading this if it is infected, and there's a very good chance it is. Please take the time to have it checked out by your doctor. He's the only one that can help you positively with whether it's infected and the medication if it is. You did what your mum asked, now do this for yourself. If you can save it then the doctor can tell you and if not you'll find that out too. Either way, see him asap. Good luck and God Bless
