Does an enlarged/swollen lymph node hurt when touched?

Swollen lymph nodes bad?

  • Ok so I have 2 swollen lymph nodes. One with pain and one without. A couple months ago I had pain in my lymphnode by my ear. I didn't notice it was swollen and painful until I touched my face around that area and it was tender and hurt. The swelling went down some and the pain went away. This has happened to me twice. The swelling never goes down all the way but the pain does.last week my neck began to hurt and the left side of my throat got swollen. It hurt bad and sometimes it still hurts a little. I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me I had allergies. He gave me claritin and asked me to see a ENT. Well now I'm affraid because the first node never went down all the way and feels like cartilidge and now I have another swollen gland. I have had 2 abscesses on the left side of my throat a its much more sensative then the right side. I am a chronic sufferfer of throat infections. And I swear my left boob hurts and under my arm but idk if its stress...why would one stay swollen for a couple months...why does it hurt sometimes and swell and then go back down but feel a little hard? Can allergies cause this? I have to see the ENT to get my tonsils taken out. PS I'm only 27. And I don't have any infections.

  • Answer:

Ok, I'm not a doctor or anything. But the arm and boob pain is probably you stressing out. You just have to look at everything rationally. Go see the ENT. See what he says.
