What is locked-in syndrome?

Possible down syndrome?

• does my baby have downs syndrome? 10 months old? Ped believed he had autism. Sent to neurologist who now believes my son has a genetic syndrome. Did not specify what syndrome tho. He is very behind... has autistic like characteristic... makes a lot of the same noises. He is half Asian so I am wondering if they may have missed down syndrome at birth but this new doc has picked up on it'? please look at my pics and tell me what you think!!! Back of his head is flat... he has both lines on his hands but I have read they can have both lines. I have also read that sometimes it does go undiagnosed in asians because they are supposed to have some of the down appearance. PLEASE HELP. My son went and had a chromosome study today but doc did not lead onto what syndrome he beloved it was. Stressing out over here!! If you do not think it is downs please tell me what you think it may be!!!   Looking at the photo it is difficult to say he has Down's syndrome. You have to wait for the result of chromosomal study. It may take some time. The clinical features may vary slightly and all the children of Down's syndrome may not have all signs. Constipation and decreased muscle tone are some other features.
