How long does doxycycline take to work?

  • I've been taking it for a month now, and I haven't really seen any improvements in my skin. I'm getting impatient, upset, and my self esteem is not great. I just started college and almost everyone in my fraternity has flawless skin, and there I am with acne all over my face, neck, and back. How long does doxycycline take to work and is it even worth wasting my time anymore with it? I'm taking differin as well.

You should consider asking your derm about Accutane if you're not seeing the results you want. But keep in mind your acne has to be pretty severe to be put on Accutane and it's also kind of a last resort thing. So if you've tried a lot of things and your skin isn't improving at all, your derm might put you in Accutane.
