What causes morning headaches?

Chronic Headaches are ruining my life !?

  • Hi. I am a 15 year old guy suffering from chronic headaches, possibly migraines ( not sure). When i say chronic, i mean EVERY FREAKING DAY OF MY LIFE. You can't imagine the pain that this is causing me or how much it's horribly affecting my life. I've been getting them for about a year and a half. At first they werent every single day but now they are. I have no idea what is causing them and neither do the doctors, so i dont think im getting the proper treatment that i should be. I went first to my normal doctor, and he said he thinks they're "probably" migraines, and transferred me to a migraine specialist. He did nothing as well, not even make sure that what i have is migraines and just gave me propranolol ( 40mg , 1 tablet daily) and Sumatriptian ( 50mg, when i feel the headache). I don't see any effect of Propranolol, and Sumatriptian is about 20$ per pill, so 200$ per thing of 9 pills and i can't afford to always take them since my insurance only pays for 1 refill a month. I will describe the pain i feel and the possible causes i suspect may be causing the headaches in hopes that someone can identify what's wrong with me: PAIN: - The pain is actually not always the same, sometimes i feel strong pulse and throbbing pain on the sides, next to my eyebrows. it's on both sides but sometimes stronger on the right. - Other times i feel more constant pain, and it hurts more. I feel this pain on the sides but more up on my head ( if you close your jaws tightly, the area the rises in your head) almost 2.5 inches above where i feel the other pain. - Also if my head is upside down, i feel like my head will EXPLODE. - Also, im ALWAYS extremely tired and sleepy, even if i can enough sleep at night. Suspected causes ( by me or other suggested by people i ask, so undecided) - Dehydration - frequent too much masterbation ( twice a day maybe, im trying to stop) - I had an enlargement in some gland under my ear ( dont remember either lymph gland or salivary gland) not sure if this has anything to do with it. - Lack of sleep ( i sleep 5-6 hours everyday, but even if i sleep more, 10 or so i still have headaches and im tired) - Tightness in neck muscles. - Maybe because of some foods that i eat. I eat normally..... don't really eat or drink too much of anything except for orange juice and milk. - When i was a little kid, i would ALWAYS like to put my self in a weird upside down position, it's like doing a headstand except on a couch and my legs would be leaned against a wall. which is ironic because now i cant have my head upside down. Additional notes: - When i have a headache, i have to grind my teeth against each other or wiggle my ear up ( an ability i gained only when i started getting these headaches, and i can't really control it, when i have a headache i just have to wiggle my ear up and keep it there for a while, it's annoying). - i'm not sensitive to light or noise, and i dont get dizzy or vomit at all. which makes me think it's not a migraines even though i have throbbing pain. - when i have a headache ( mostly all the time) my eyes are closing and i can't really focus on anything for too long. - when i eat or drink or wash my face, the headache goes away for a while ( 15-30 minutes) then comes back. - Sumatriptian isnt doing much help anymore. Neither are any other pain relievers. - recently i have been experiencing neck and back pain. I also crack my neck a lot, but i started doing so after i started getting the headaches. - Also i always feel like my hear beats too fast and strong, especially when i first wake up in the morning. I don't know what to do anymore, this is seriously ruining my life. Please help me with any experience you have..... thank you
