What is going on with my eye?

My right eye was recently swollen and now my left eye is swollen. What's Going On?

  • A week ago my right was getting swollen day by day. It started hurting when the swelling began to occur. It was puffy and swollen and nearly had my eye shut. It went away after a few days, But now my left eye has begun to swell up and is in pain. The eye itself is red and is very teary. When that happens i wake up with my eye nearly glued shut. I have no idea what is wrong with me and i am curious as to what could possibly be happening? I don't need help curing it i just want to know what is wrong? -Thank You

You need to see a doctor. This sounds like pink eye, a highly contagious infection.

Its hard to tell by what you have described. There should be more details about this sypmtom. If it is not infection it could just be allergy. You have to start with your personal hygiene. Something allergic is getting into your eyes, somehow. You have to find out what and how and why. Are you a girl or a man??? I would suggest you to check with all chemical perfume, hair spray, shampoo.... anything that you put on your hair. Did you just recently switch using different brand of any of the above???? These chemical eventually find its way into the corner of your eyes and thus causing irritation, itchy reaction, red eye etc.... Best way to find out NOW is to stop using them, at least for a period of 3 -4 weeks. Wash all your bed clothing, pillow case clean, change them every day also for the same period of time. And you would find out that the symptom be gradually dissappear and gone. When its allergy, there is little cure Just avoid and cut out the source of trouble. Good luck
