Does an enlarged/swollen lymph node hurt when touched?

• Hi, I woke up Saturday morning and the whole right side of my head behind my ear was in pain. I had been laying on my right side, and I didnt really think that much of it, but it hurt. Later that day I had pain and felt behind my ear and there was a bump on the outside ontop of my ear canal under the skin. It was a little painful, epsecially when I touched it. Yesterday the bump was still there and also my lymph nodes behind my ears and on the balls on the back of my head were all a little swollen, and hurting. Now today the bump behind my ear is still there but now the lymph node right behind the right ear is swollen up and swollen along the outline of the ear between the lymph node and the ear canal, now its just one big long bump and really painful even when I do not touch it. Both the lymph nodes behind my ears and on the back of my head are all swollen and they hurt. My neck hurts and my head hurts. I have been on antibiodics for 10 days, yesterday was my last day. I had been having pain in my teeth and the doctor prescribed amoxacillian. Has anyone else had anything like this before? If yes what was the problem? I go to the doctors on the 6th, so I am trying to wait it out. Any good advise is needed, and anyone who has been through similar I would love to know how it ended! Thank you all and God bless you.

  Hi I think you need to go back to the dr..straight away..You can go to casualty outpatients in hospital..if it gets very bad..These are usually meant for emergencies....though..Amoxocillin is now an antibiotic that has been around awhile...and while very good you may need another course..You also need to be referred to ENT...The dr will probably do that...
