What are the symptoms of a stomach ulcer?

Ulcer symptoms in upper stomach area.?

  • Is this most likely an ulcer? Symptoms started 24 hours ago. It has a lot of the symptoms of an ulcer but instead of being located directly in the stomach, it's sort of at the bottom of the esophagus but top of the stomach. I guess what I'm asking is: 1.) Is this likely an ulcer or does its location suggest something else? 2.) How do I go about treating it on my own or treating it until I can see a doctor? 3.) How long does it take for an ulcer to become worse or fatal? 4.) Can toxins/poisons such as tin or cadmium cause or exacerbate it? If a person could answer my questions, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

  • Answer:

Are you sure it's not hiatus hernia or trapped wind? Anyway, you can treat it with Butyric acid if it's an ulcer. Of course toxins make it worse.
