Why Would I have Only One Swollen Tonsil?

I have one swollen tonsil, no other symptoms.?

  • Yesterday, the back of my throat on the right side (I'm presuming it is my right tonsil) started to cause me to have a weird feeling when I swallow. It doesn't hurt, but it feels slightly uncomfortable - like my tonsil is swollen. I looked in the mirror and from what I can see, there is no redness or puss. I have no other symptoms and it isn't stopping me from eating or drinking. However, about a month and a half ago my boyfriend got mono, and I didn't kiss him. I have kissed him since he got the all clear from the doctor to do so. I have some exams, and I really don't want this to get worse in the next 9 days. Is this mono? If not, what else could it be? Am I simply fighting off an infection? Help really needed please - and if it does get worse, how do I cope with it during my exams?

    same here! okay after i had strep my tonsels got really big, and then once it cleared, now only one tonsel is bigger then normal. but it feels fine. I dont think you should worry about it at all.
