Red bumps on my tonsils?

AHHH please help! red bumpy tonsils and the bumps seem to be spreading... STD?

  • Hey okay, so like 4 months ago I tried to kill myself by ODing on pills and alcohol and I passed out and some guy had sex with me. I don't really know what happened I woke up in the ER and had to go to a psych ward. Anyway, there have been these bumps that started forming on my tonsils three weeks ago. The bumps have started to spread in my mouth. They are not painful or anything, but I know they are there. I know, I should go to a doctor, but my parents think that this whole thing is my fault (which it kind of is) and won't take me to get tested for STDs and pretty much won't let me go until I'm 18. I'm really REALLY worried about this. I don't know what to do. Oh yeah my throat is pretty veiny and my the roof of my mouth is whitish along with a whitish lining on my tounge. Thank you in advance for your responses. I really need your help.

  • Answer:

There are local std testing clinics available in your area that offers simple, confidential, and affordable testing. Research and show your parents the alarming rate of STD infections today and what it can lead to if left untreated. If they still won't listen to you, ask your bestfriend's mom to go with you and get that testing. You could get serious problems if you left this alone.

Thinking about the possibility of having a sexually transmitted disease can be an embarrassing and uncomfortable thing to think and talk about. With that said though, your first priority should always be to your own well-being and the safety of your health. STDs can be dangerous when left undiagnosed or untreated, so if you think you may be suffering from one, it is important to get yourself tested as quickly as possible.

Wow... I actually can't believe this. I have the EXACT same problem, regarding the bumps in the mouth and the veiny-ness and such. I have no idea what it is either. I went to a clinic earlier on today, and I was told that it's not an STD, but the woman who told me didn't seem very professional. I have bumps either side of my mouth, my tonsils, that are small and hard. Been there for about 2 months. I also have white veiny looking things on the inside of my cheeks either side.. I'm very worried. I'm going to a doctor soon, not one that specialises in STD's. If you give me an email or something, I'll let you know what it is when I find out. Best of luck! x
