Is it possible to go on holiday to Chlamydia?

Is it possible for Chlamydia to go undetected for 3+ years?

  • I know its not likely, but is it possible. I have just been told I have it, but I have not a clue to how I got it. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years, and ONLY him. I had my daughter w/ him 2 1/2 years ago and was tested then and didn't have it, now all the sudden i have this STD. My boyfriend swears he never cheated, and I really do believe him, but I am still skeptical. The only thing I can think of is his ex, but he hasn't been with her in 4+ years. I am positive I got it from him, if it was from sex. I am just questioning how and when he got it? My other question is it possible to get it from other than sex, like a washcloth or toliet seat or something?? And how often do these tests give you a false positive, I found out from my annual pap? My biggest confusion is the fact that I was tested with my daughter and I was fine, so the most likely scenario is he cheated after that and gave it to me. I hope thats not what happened but it doesn;t seem like its possible.

I've never heard of it and it sounds like maybe someone isn't totally monogamous. But if having it for that long I'm pretty sure that a person would be aware that something is wrong wth them at some point because it would cause one to become incapable of having kids anymore.

sounds like a sticky situation. do you really have chlamydia?? i got it once and got treated. a year and several std tests later, i got a new bf. we were together a few months...i was in b/w doctors so i saw two different ones within a week. one doc said i was clean, another said i had chlamydia...my bf came in and they tested him and he was clean. so i really believe it was a false pos test. i just took the meds anyways.
