What are the chances I contracted HIV?

  • I am 22,and about 2 months ago I received oral sex from a 38yr old woman, who later told me she was living with a 62yr old man who had the HIV virus. They lived together for atleast 6 months, were sexually active but said she would never have sex with him without a condom..I do not know if she's telling the truth/if they had sex before she knew, unprotected. Regardless, she gave me oral sex for MAYBE 15-20 seconds. I do not know of any open cuts in her mouth,i am almost positive i did not have any cuts on my genitals. I have not noticed feeling sick or anything abnormal in the last 2 months. I know it may take alot longer for any symptoms to arise, and I SHOULD get a blood test, and will be next paycheck. I am just wondering what you think my chances are of contracting the virus with receiving the oral sex for such a short few seconds. She said she was tested twice since leaving him,and everything was clean.(again i do not know if i can trust her of course) Thank you.

0% chance of having HIV from that situation. I know there is a lot of misleading information on the internet, which is the reason for the answers above. There has never, in the history of mankind or science, ever, in any country, EVER been a case of a person contracting HIV from getting their penis sucked. NEVER. Don't believe me? Go to http://www.aidsmeds.com The website is ran by people who are living with HIV (and AIDS) and who are literally experts in the field of HIV (and AIDS). They will confirm what I am saying with scientific studies. You can even go in the forum and click on "Am I Infected" to post your own question about this. They will tell you exactly what I am saying. It is a no-risk situation. You don't need to get tested for this situation, but if you have had other unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse, you will need to be tested.

Even 1% chance is too much. Go get tested and ease your fears.

If you opt to engage in oral sex without the use of protection, you should understand that the risk of transmitting HIV increases for the person performing the act if there is presence of an open wound or sores in the oral cavity. If ejaculation occurs in the mouth, the person performing the oral act is at greatest risk of contracting any kind of sexually transmitted disease that the individual receiving felatio has and is of a high risk for infection. When it comes to oral sex, the biggest risk taker for HIV transference is for the person performing the act. Clinically speaking, unless the candidate has generous amounts of blood and excretion in her/his mouth the receptive partner is unlikely to contract the disease.
