Am i cured from chlamydia?

• i took the 4 pill (1 dose) and my dr sed she never had any patients take the pills again cuz they still had it.. they always cured it... i took the pills and i had sex within a week... how long will it take to cure?? i used a condom after a week..but then few dayz after a week i used unprotected sex.. am i cured?? y wud she tell me to go back in a month? ,. just picked a day???... or wen is it cured....my bf got tested... i never told him i had it... they swabbed him and he sed that if it came out red its bad.. it didnt come out red so its ok... ??

  No, that doesn't mean that you are cured from chlamydia for sure. In fact, you might still have it. Often times, STDs are present in the body without having any symptoms. Just because you took a pill doesn't mean it just 'went away'. If I were you, I would go get tested again, just in case. And, you might want to tell your partner as well- even if they came up negative one time, you might incidentally give it to them another, ESPECIALLY if you are having unprotected sex. Condoms don't always work, either, so you may want to inform your partner before engaging in any other sexual intercourse.
