Can AIDS be spread through pool water?

  • My aunt just came back from a pool and she wants to know the answer to this. She said that she saw an obviously gay guy swim in the pool, and she noticed that he had a bleeding wound on his leg as he left. She is obviously very concerned about this and wants to know if the HIV virus can survive in pool water.

The aid virus can not live vary long outside a body. The virus can be carried by blood but if your aunt didnt have any open sores on herself she should be okay.
