What should I do about my nose bleeds?

What causes nose bleeds and is there anything to prevent you from getting one?

  • I quite often get nose bleeds ranging from just a small amount of blood to really heavy for anything up to half an hour. I don't ever knock my nose or ever subject to heat or anything. I literally can be just walking round town or even sitting at my desk at work and then i feel my nose running so i wipe it to find out it's actually bleeding. It really worries me when I get nose bleeds which probably doesn't help. I do all the things you should when I get them like pinch the top of your nose and use a cold compress and put your head slightly down so as it doesn't run down your throat etc but..... What actually causes it? And is there anything i can do to stop me getting nose bleeds??

  • Answer:

You can't "get anemic" from a nosebleed. Here's a video at WebMD that may help! http://www.webmd.com/allergies/video/treating-nosebleeds See a doc and they can tell you what to do further!
