How do I heal cracked heels?

Can Fish Oil heal my heels?

  • I've just recently heard that Fish Oil is good for your skin because of the Omega 3 in it. I was wondering, since my heels are really dry and cracked (to the point that they bleed), if it would heal them also. Could someone clear this up, please?

  • Answer:

I had heels that bad too. I'm not sure about fish oil, but a used a cream called 'DU'IT Foot & Heel Balm Plus' My heels were fixed up and soft within a week and a half. I also suggest you soak your feet and scratch off all the dead skin before applying it, and when applying it at night, put socks over your feet to hold in the moisture. Good luck.

Ive heard of regular oil to help dry heels, not fish oil..

Maybe but I 've never heard of it. What does work is to get a pumice stone and work on the calluses. The reason it cracks is it is dry and stiff. You can work on it even where it is cracked by going parrallel to the split rather than across it. After a few sessions of this enough of the callus will be gone and your heels will no longer crack. Antibiotic cream also helps the cracked portions.

use a pumice stone and a scrub made out of a softener like shea butter
