What are these little red itchy bumps on my arm?

What could two red itchy bumps and a stiff/cold arm mean?

  • I have two red, itchy bumps on my right arm (one on the lower arm, the other on the upper). The redness has grown a bit since I first noticed the one on the lower arm yesterday. I just noticed the one on the upper arm this morning. My right arm and fingers feel stiff and the fingers also feel slightly cold. My left arm is completely normal. It is the middle of winter and temperatures have been very cold (well below freezing) so I find it hard to believe them to be insect/spiders bites. What could this be?

    ARGH! ZOMBIE!

it still might be an insect bit of some sort. lyme disease can cause muscle stiffness. you might want to see your doctor if it continues or worsens.

Could be chilblaines. I got them on my 'mouse' hand through not noticing how cold the hand was. Chilblains (otherwise knows as pernio) are caused by inflammation of the blood vessels in the skin, and can become painful and itchy. They are caused when an exposed body part, typically the feet or the hands, moves from an extremely cold environment to a hot one. They commonly affect hands and feet, but any exposed limb can be affected. Safest thing is see your doctor, I am only guesing here.

Black Plague or brown recluse bite
