Baking soda for acne scars?

Baking soda+water: does it work for old acne scars?

  • I have acne scars on my back and shoulders that are a few years old and I've tried hydroquinone 4%, apple cider vinegar full strength, 100% lemon juice, zinc soap and nothing worked. So, my question is, does baking soda and water work for old acne scars?

  • Answer:

Baking soda and water will do nothing more but act as an abrasive solution. Basically, you're exfoliating your skin. Try extra virgin olive oil. Every night, before you go to sleep, wash your face with whatever cleanser you'd normally use, rinse, then massage extra virgin olive oil into your face. After about 2 minutes, wipe it all off with a warm, soft, wet cloth. Don't worry, extra virgin olive oil DOES NOT clog the pores, nor does it hurt the eyes. It's extremely gentle! It's similar to Bio Oil, in my opinion, but you're getting a lot more than what you'd pay for with Bio Oil.

no Sandalwood is very effective in treating acne scars. Mix it with some rosewater and apply it to the scars. Leave it on overnight and wash it off in warm water.
