Why have I got sweaty hands?

My hands got extremely cold for a long period of time.. now they burn, are rashing, and appear to be swell?

  • This morning there were just about 40 degree temperatures and my hands were very cold. I was not dressed for the cold weather at all and had no gloves. I would say my hands were exposed to this level of cold weather for an hour. While i was driving my heater did not work, and my hands we extremely cold. My hands also got very dry while driving. After i showered and warmed up my hands then began to get extremely dry, red, and rashing. They also appeared to be swollen. After I put lotion on, it did not help and i have been sitting at home for 8 hours since. Does anybody have a clue what this could be, or what i could do to help it? They still ache, and are slightly rashed. Swelling appears to have gone down

  • Answer:

Possibilities... -You could have "almost received frostbite" - exposure to the cold causes eczema (extremely dry skin) symptoms include red bumps re swelling itching and cracked/overall dry skin. -Cold numbs skin. -allergic reaction to something in shower?
