How do you know if you have cystic acne?

How do you know when your acne is begining to clear?

• I have suddenly had bad acne sense last year it got realy bad over the year to the point where i had to visit a dermatologist. My case was somehow only severe. After using all the medicine he perscribed me and the refills on my perscription nothing happened. I started using a dead sea mud mask which seemed to do the trick a little. Now after 3 weeks using that mask it seems like my acne is becoming red with a yellow hole or something like that or as if something is stuffied in the center of my acne. I know its not a white head or black head. It looks like a first step to clearing acne as its matching the color of the surrounding skin but im not sure... so is it clearing or getting worse.... ill add details as needed to this post based on responses.

  I think you should snap a photo of yourself ( beginning and end) to see the changes. I hope it helps.
