How do I get rid of dark spots (hyperpigmentation) caused from body acne?

• I am 17 years old and started getting body acne since I was 12. Ive tried everything, neutrogena, proactiv, zenmed, you name it, nothing helps. My back is almost fully covered with dark spots left from 5 years of continous acne, my shoulders, and my chest too. It's disgusting, it's incredible that I have a nice body but I can't show it because I have acne/dark spots. I was wondering how can I get rid of these spots? Ive tried a cream that supposedly gets rid of dark spots but it BARELY did anything. This is depressing and really brings me down. Any help is truly appreciated.
