How to stop my dog's itching and scratching?
-
My lab is scratching so much that I feel hopeless. His coat seems dull and he sheds a lot. I tried different shampoos different oils but nothing helps. I took him to the vet and he said that he may have allergies. He also developed bold spots that seem to disappear, but then come back on a different part of the body. I want to find a natural solution. Any help will be appreciated.

Answer:
The important thing is diet. Make sure that you feed your dog or yourself proper food. If you think that you are doing so, make sure there is enough biotin in the dogs diet. Wikipedia: (Biotin is responsible for skin conditions not only in dogs but also in humans. Do not use human shampoos! I had a similar situation and started using biotin supplementation. It worked like magic. Symptoms of overt biotin deficiency include: * Hair loss (alopecia) * Conjunctivitis * Dermatitis in the form of a scaly red rash around the eyes, nose, mouth, and genital area. * Neurological symptoms in adults such as depression, lethargy, hallucination, and numbness and tingling of the extremities Biotin supplements are often recommended as a natural product to counteract the problem of hair loss in both children and adults. The signs and symptoms of biotin deficiency include hair loss which progresses in severity to include loss of eye lashes and eye brows in severely deficient subjects. Some shampoos are available that contain biotin, but it is doubtful whether they would have any useful effect, as biotin is not absorbed well through the skin.)---This is how it works not only on humans but on all types of animal. Biotin is a natural and safe, so try using that. I personally used Bio-Coat by Nickers and it helped my dog, I personally use biotin for myself and my hair and nails and skin showed extreme improvement, but you might want to do your own research on the best product for you. It does sound annoying. I think that you should change his diet. Give him some supplements. Supplements rich in B6 vitamins should do the trick. Hope it helps.
sounds like something is going on inside of him. threw his blood. get some lab work done on him. Also try massage for pets. Sound's a lil crazy but it really works! I know this because I'm a massage therapist :) Good Luck!
