Tiny bumps all over my forehead that just won't go away, any suggestions to get rid of them?
-
My forehead is always covered in small flesh colored bumps. Sometimes exfoliating gets rid of them but then it leaves my skin dry and severely flaky for days and it never gets rid of all the bumps. Acne cleansers or treatments do nothing either. My skin is also very oily and that makes the bumps really noticeable, makeup makes it look worse too. I've been to dermatologists who just treat them like they are acne but nothing works. Does anyone know what they are or how to get rid of them?

Answer:
you should try exfoliating them, then putting on a hypoallergenic and oil-free moisturizer (something by Clinique would be good). That way the bumps will be gone but your skin won't be dry and flaky.

I'd really have to see them, in order to see if they are truly in the acne category. There are other skin lesions that can cause a lot of small bumps on the forehead (and unfortunately, many dermatologists, in their haste, don't really give a good look at them and misdiagnose them). And, the treatment would depend on the actual diagnosis.

Likely just a pain, and a form of acne. Keep up with exfoliating them. The best product (I think) for this is made by Booth's. St. Ives will do. Use this twice a week. A face wash for oily skin.. something gentle (Aveeno) Always use a toner it helps balance your skin. Use a shampoo for your oily hair and look in to an acne mask. I'd use it once or twice a week. The mask by proactiv is the one thing people do rave a bout (with that product line).
