My lips have light spots/white patches what can I do to fix this? How can I get my lip color back?

My lips have two white/light patches on the upper lip and on the bottom it has spots I went to my doctor he said nothing is wrong it could be cause I overly used my chopsticks which I do a lot but is there a way I can get my lip natural color back because it looks like something is wrong Its not as light as it used to be but its still light this happened over the summer time.
