How to get rid of a scar?!!??! Help!?

  • Well, half a year ago, i was in Netball training. It started to rain and we were all skidding around and falling over. However, i fell well worse than the others. I ended up getting my knee disinfected each evening (-which trust me on this, hurts well bad after there is a huge chunk of skin missing off your knee, all covered in blood) with a plaster covering most of my knee.... So i was just wondering how long it will take to get rid of the scar, and if there's any remedies to helpp.. Thanks to all,,

    Some scars will heal over and fade with time but if you were missing a huge chunk of skin then it may have a worse scar. Try using vitamin E oil and massage it once or twice a day everyday with it. really stretching the scar out by pulling the skin and deeply rubbing in the oil. This will hopefully help it. Vit E oil is less expensive then the scar treatments that you can buy over the counter. Otherwise you can go to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to help revise the scar if it is thick and nasty.

You can't 'get rid' of a scar. But it will fade over time. Perhaps try Bio Oil? I've never used it but it's says it can 'improve the appearance of scars'
