Should I get these moles removed?
-
I am 21. My dermatologist has removed 5 moles from my back and they all came back negative for melanoma. She noticed a few on my scrotum, and said that moles are not supposed to be in that area, and even though it's the rarest place for melanoma to develop she suggested I get them removed. My mother had breast cancer (shes fine now, thank God), but had a BRCA-2 defect, which I am not so informed about, but know that it increases the chances of malignant melanoma if I have that defective gene.
