What should I do with my scaly sunburn skin?

What are good tricks for getting off dead skin for peeling after sunburn?

  • and good tricks? what sould i use?

  • Answer:

Yep, Rachel's right. It's tempting to want to peel it but don't. Right after you know you've burned use some regular Aloe Vera. It's nice when you keep it in the fridge too.. it cools your body temperature down instantly. And, if you can find the Aloe Vera with Lidocaine, that will help with the pain you've got from your sunburn. Then keep lotion on or even some baby oil (the gel is nice but it's still kinda greasy), and drink as much water as you possibly can. The water will keep you from peeling as much and it will make you heal up faster. And when the sunburn's gone away, it would probably feel really good to get a nice exfoliating salt scrub and just scrub off the rest of that dead skin. But make sure you're not still sunburned!

Try not to peel. Put lotion on skin that is dry and peeling. I've found that cocoa butter works really well, and it smells good to boot. Also aloe vera helps heal sunburn.
