How to get rid of bug bite scars?

Occasionally I get these 'bug-bite' like marks on my face...what is it?

  • occasionally on my face i get these marks that same to resemble bug-bites...they're red & slightly swollen like a bug-bite...& itch a little bit too. but then after a few hours they go away. what is it? are they really bug bites? if they are...how come they just go away after a few hours? or is it some sort of allergic reaction to something?

  • Answer:

It could be bug bites from bed bugs, fleas, spiders, etc., or allergies. To check for bed bugs strip the linens off your bed and search along the edges. If you don't see anything move your mattress a bit and check on the box springs. They like to hide in the crease around the edges of mattresses and box springs. To see if fleas are the culprit put a small bowl of water with a drop of dishsoap in it underneath a night light. Check it in the morning to see if there's fleas floating in it. It could also be an allergic reaction. If I use to much detergent on my bed lines my face will break out so I run my linens through an extra wash with no soap after I've washed them the first time. If you've changed soaps recently switch back to your previous one.

Other answers

It's most likely an allergic reaction to something. I had an allergic reaction to a medication one time and I got little "bug bites" all over me and they were a real pain. If it bothers you too bad, I suggest seeing a doctor. Good luck :]
