Why am I Having Itchy/Burning Fingers?

Why do my fingers go pink instead of red when i put pressure on them?

  • About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my fingers go (bright) pink when i touch things/put pressure on thenm, i.e. leaning on my hand against a desk. It is mainly in one hand and spreads across 2 fingers and the top of my palm. When the colour dies down it is my natural skin tone. There is no tingling or numbness in the fingers. The colour is almost luminous, it looks like ive dipped my fingers in paint, but i havent. there is no pain, i am just curious as to what this could be. Thankyou.

  • Answer:

Sounds like blood accumulating in the tissues. Grasping things can put pressure on the veins that take blood out of your hands, causing them to turn colors. Red blood plus pale skin is pink.
