Toe nail fell off hard lump where the nail grows.?

Ohkay so my toe nail just fell off but I have like a hard lump where the toe nail comes out !? What Is it ;/

Answer:
Did you ever injure this toenail? This could be one of two things. First of all, you are going to lose that nail itself and a new one will grow from the nail out. You need to get a referral from your doctor to see whatever podiatrist they think is best. You might have a fungal infection from where this lump is growing that needs to be taken care of or the infection will keep this lump from ever going away and this lump doesn't look very well in heels. Other than a fungal infection a bacterial staph or strep bacteria might be there too. There are 4 different fungal infections alone. Please see a podiatrist asap for a diagnosis and testing if needed. This could also be an abscess too. Good luck and God Bless
