Answer:
Since so many skin disorders can present with spots, it's really impossible to answer your question correctly without accompanying pictures. It could be a drug rash, a viral rash, an irritant rash, etc.. But, why not look up "pityriasis rosea" and see if that's what you have?

No matter what the cause, taking some benadryl will stop the itching while you try to figure out what is causing them. Have you been on or currently on an antibiotic? If you are, stop taking the medication and call your doctor for advice. Otherwise, you can search for a food or personal care product or soap that might be causing this. Often, a new substance is the cause or too much of something in a short period of time. And, if they don't go away in about 3 days, you need to see the advice of your physician. And, if you have had a sore throat, you need to get checked for strep.

You will need a doctor for this one. Too many possibilities. Shingles doesn't cause spots all over the body. Chicken pox could, but an adult with chicken pox will generally be quite ill. Psoriasis can present with itchy red scaly spots. Bug bites, eczema, allergic reaction to medication, fungal infection... See the dermatologist

maybe an allergic reaction to laundry soap, have you changed your body soap or shampoo lately? or medications or allergic reaction to something you ate. maybe a good idea to get advise from your Dr. who could perscribe a cream before spreads to your face, hands and legs.

It sounds like psoriasis, eczema, ring worm, or maybe just dry skin! What are you washing with? Try changing to a mild soap, or hydrating body wash. I had them too a some point, but they go away after a while if you apply lotion a lot! Aveno worked the best for me.
