What's wrong with my skin?

  • Ugh for about two years now I've been getting these discolored patches of skin they USED to be no bigger than the size of a dime until bout 6 months ago I got a huge one bigger than the 50 cent coin. They don't itch except for the first one I got. And no hair grows on them. One of them is so dark it looks like a bruise but it's not and it's been a year now and it hasn't faded the slightest bit. And the newest one that I've noticed was red almost bloody as if the skin was cut. My mom tells me my skins just dry and to put lotion on it. And now she tells me they're birth marks. I know my skin better than anyone else. AND they are NOT birthmarks! So far I've had over 10 within the past two years. And they've all been on the upper part of my body (arms, back, etc.) DO I HAVE SKIN CANCER? or Ringworm? or is it just pigmentation cause of my colored skin tone? http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n100/x_omfg/CIMG19722.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n100/x_omfg/CIMG19572.jpg

  • Answer:

Doesn't vitiligo cause lightening of the skin, not darkening? Anyway, if you are really concerned, why don't you go and see a dermatologist? They would be your best bet. Do they come and go, or when you get one, does it last (probably not skin cancer) ? Are any of them irregularly shaped, or changed size (possible indicator of skin cancer)? You should just go and see a dermatologist.
