What is good for skin tightening?

Is tightening of skin normal after a burn?

  • My boyfriend had hot oil spilled on his arm 8 days ago. It is in the process of healing, and the burned skin is beginning to heal. He says that it hurts a lot when he moves his arm almost like the skin underneath is so tight that it prevents motion. Is this normal? If so, is there anything to help with it?

  • Answer:

yes it is normal, he should have it checked out by a doc, but he needs to rub like vassaline stuff on it to get it moist and he needs to work on moving it around when it applied so the skin doesnt tighten to bad

I had a REALLY bad suburn back in 2001. I went to a theme park and wore a tanktop with NO sunscreen and then we went to the water park and I was in and out of chlorine water, standing in line to go back down the waterslide in the hot hot sun. Anyway, fastforward to later that night at home and I was completly red and feeling very nausiated. The next day I woke up and have blisters the size of oranges all over my arms, chest and back. It took two and a half weeks for it to heel and when my skin started to heal it was tight and dry as well and very uncomfortable still. It was like there was still a small layer of dead dry skin right next to my soft fleshy non sunburned skin. After about three weeks it all finally went away with LOTS of Aloe Vera and some cream stuff the emergency room dr gave me.
