How to clear blocked ears from flying?

Constant cough & blocked ears.?

• I started with a cough about 6 weeks ago , it got worse and turned it what seemed like a throat infection. It felt like food was stuck in my throat. That stuck feeling disappeared but the coughing continued. Then followed what was like phlegm build up and running down my throat, also my ears were feeling blocked and I found my hearing was minimal. The phelgm increased down my throat. During all this I had over approx 4-5 weeks, 4 different anti biotics and none of it worked. My nose passages have cleared. My coughing is still here and the blocked ears still remain. I dont really feel as much phlegm build up. But I hear inside my ears something like if you have just got out of a shower and water is in ears. I hear it inside my ears. Im on a nasal spray and 4th lot of antibiotics ( stopped the antibiotics , just hate antibiotics but am on nasal spray.) Im now about to go for a ct scan of my sinuses. My chest xrays are clear. What is causing me to cough , I coughed up a very pale yellow just once. Why wont my ears clear ? After about 7 weeks now Im getting sick of it and worried they wont find whats wrong with me or find something really serious. Help much appreciated.

  Just about everyone I know, including myself, has had that. I'm still getting over it actually. I think everyone's just getting sick because of the seasonal changes or something. It could just be a really bad virus. Unfortunately, with viruses you can only treat the symptoms, not the actual virus itself. You just have to let it run it's course.
