How to clear blocked ears from flying?

Why do my ears keep feeling blocked like this..?

• This has been going on for years now. It all started a couple of years ago when my ears started feeling blocked inside. They didn't hurt, they just felt blocked. It wasn't from water inside of them because I never swam at all that year. I went to the doctors they checked them and said i ruptured my ear drum (probably from band). I got ear drops and put them in for a week and they were fine. Then a couple months later the same thing happened. It wasn't from a ruptured ear drum or water in them. They were still blocked. I got ear drops, they heeled and I was fine. And ever since the last incident of them feeling blocked (last year), I have felt the same way since being off the ear drops. I haven't been back to the doctors, but I might go back soon. Since they don't seem to be helping me, any other suggestions on why my ears keep blocking up?

  I would suggest trying decongestants and/or antihistamines. This has type of thing has happened to me when I had sinus infections. I have also experienced this at high altitudes. If this continues, try to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor.. They are the doctors who are in the know when it comes to this tpe of medical problem.
