What is the best humidity for good breathing?

What's the best way to add humidity to air from a tank meant for breathing?

  • I mean, you know those oxygen tanks meant for patients that needs to breath oxygen. The oxygen is from a tank that cannot have wet gas, so the oxygen has to be dry coming out of the tank. Do they just feed dry gas to people or are some ways to humidify the gas alone the way (the tube)? Does anyone know any device that can do this? Thanks

  • Answer:

You cannot use humidification on an oxygen tank. You should be using a concentrator at home and a bubble humidifier is ideal. Tanks are only for portability. For most, tanks are minimally used. Therefore, a need for a humidification is not necessary.

Yes, the air is really dry. There is an attachment called an oxygen humidifier. basically a hose travels from the oxygen tank to the humidifier. The air then passes through a bottle full of water, which adds moisture to the air and that air passes through another tube and to the nose... there you have it, humidified Oxygen
