Horrible Pain In Left Side?

Pain in my left lower side.?

• Ok, I have had this pain in my lower left side for about 5 years now, well anyway one of my docs found out I was hypoglycemic and she started giving me glucophage medication 1500 mg, and the pain went away and I don't know why. Well anyways I started going to a different doctor and she took me off of it because she said it is a diabetic medicine and shouldn't be taking it. Since I stopped taking it my pain has come back in my side. Does anyone have any clue what this pain could be and if it has anything to do with hypoglycemia or diabetes or something. I was also taking thyroid meds at the same time for no reason, and she took me off it too at the same time. So I don't know if one of these medicines was stopping the pain or what. I had a sonagram done on my ovarys and everything is ok there from what they got back, so I'm clueless. I also have sleep apnea, and hypoxmia, when I'm sleeping my blood oxygen gets down to 53 with a cannula breathing machine on, don't know if this could have something to do with it either. I'm clueless if someone could help me.

  From what I found on the internet glucophage should not be used in people with conditions that can cause low blood oxygen. Glucophage can be used for polycystic ovary syndrome as well as in people who are at a high risk for developing diabetes. Being hypoxic can cause pain because the tissues are starved of oxygen, however I would monitor for any symptoms that may accompany the pain because pain in the left side is a very vague symptom to go on.
