Pain in chest and diaphragm?
-
Ok two years ago I had an endoscopy to see if my gallbladder was the only thing with a problem. It was normal. After this procedure I have had some breathing issues. Although he didn't find anything wrong I have been diagnosed with severe reflux. I will start Protonix tonight. The past two days have been really hard for me. I am having pain in my chest in between my breast bone kind of in my diaphragm area. First time I have had pain. I am having trouble walking around it hurts so bad. I have been taking Aciphex twice a day to help until the Protonix came in (I had to get it through a program cause it is really high and no insurance). I am a 47 year old woman that has been healthy all my life. Until this started. They took out my Gallbladder two years ago. But I feel like there is something sharp so to speak in my chest and I have said since day one of that procedure that I feel like there is something that may have fallen off the equipment into my esophagus area. This is getting scary cause the Drs are not saying anything but reflux. I know and feel it is something more. Has anyone else out there had this kind of pain? I have barely eaten today because I feel so full while this is going on. Please help lead me in the right direction. I feel something like a small ball rolling around in my diaphragm area. When I sneeze it moves up into my chest and when I said this to my Dr he looked at me, shook his head and said I don't know what that could be and shrugged it off. I am tired of not knowing what is causing this. I want to be well again this is taking over my life. I have two beautiful granddaughters that need me and I keep them for my daughter to work. All they ever see if Nanna sick.

Answer:
Sounds like Gastro oesophogal reflux disorder, sorry if that's spelled wrong, I have it and it can be so bad that I can't breath and cough constantly. If you are coughing as bad a I do this does make you feel like there is something in your chest because it's so raw. If you think they may have left an instrument inside of you after the op you need to insist on an x-ray.
