Questions about CPAP Machines, Masks, Etc. EMERGENCY! We only have until the 31st to buy the machine & masks.?

• My father loses his insurance on May 31, 2009. He did a sleep study last night and was told that he NEEDS a CPAP Machine but that the test results won't be released until Thursday the 28th. We need the prescription for the machine and mask written and processed before the 31st so that Insurance covers it. He was told that the Nasal Mask would be best for him but I don't know how to go about ordering a mask and a machine. I know that they need to be fitted to my father and adjusted by the doctor to fit his needs but we are so limited on time that I am afraid we may have to pay for it out of pocket... Which we can't do since my father was laid off at the start of the month. Please tell me of your experiences. What did you have to do to get yours? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

He should apply to Soc Sec asap as it can take up to 2 yrs and they always deny on the first attempt, then you get a soc sec attorney who takes your case and soc sec pays his fee up to 5300$. You also have to be off work for 6 months, not one day sooner to qualify for soc sec. if he choses to work, it can only be up to $945.00/month. Check with local soc sec office asap and apply with all nec paperwork, birth certificate etc. check online soc sec disabilities that apply.
