How can I get relief from a sinus infection?

• I have been diagnosed with a sinus infection by my doctor. I am on medications for High Blood Pressure, Hypothyroid and High Cholesterol. My doctor won't give me anything for the Sinus Infection because of all the meds I am already on. What home remedies can you recommend to help relieve the pain and discomfort? I have been suffering with the pain and pressure, stuffed nose, runny nose and general discomfort for two weeks now. It has been suggested that a warm wet towel be placed on my face. I've tried this and it doesn't seem to help. Anybody got any other suggestions? How much longer should I expect to have to deal with this pain?

  To open up my nose I add a little spice, such as hot sauce, to my food, so my nose will run and clear up for a while.I have drank hot sauce from the bottle and that helps. It will open the sinus's right up.
