How can I cure my throat?

How can I cure a sore throat very quickly?

  • My sister has been having the flu for about 3 days. We're not sure if we should go see a doctor yet, but we've been giving her Tylenol, Theraflu, cough drops, and NyQuil. (Not all at once) Yesterday she had more of a fever, today she has a horrible sore throat. The problem is my parents are going on a cruise on Monday and if she's still sick and can't watch her when I'm at school. The best thing is if I cure her sore throat as fast as possible. Any suggestions? Should we see a doctor now and get her prescription? HELP! Thanks

She needs to see a doctor and get a strep test. (Or, whatever the dr. deems necessary.) She probably needs antibiotics. The sooner she begins taking them, the sooner she will feel better. As it stands now, you're just treating the symptoms.

Can't help with an instant cure - but a temporary fix is gargling warm salty water, it stops the pain for a little while (hour at the most) but you can just repeat it if it comes back. Just don't swallow it or rinse your mouth. Hope this helps
