How long scarlet fever symptoms last after taking antibiotics?

i finished 3 day course of Zithromax(azythromicin) but my tongue still looks like strawberry, i mean small red dots. and i have light red patches on throat. also i had dry cough but today it looks better coughing is reduced. I dont have rash or fever. i have appointment with doctor at monday but im worried.

Your doctor will check for the presence of infection and prescribe a new course of antibiotic dosage and schedule another visit if necessary. It sounds like they caught it early. You should be okay. It may be a while before you are completely recovered and feel right, though. Apparently, the major symptoms are due not to the infection, but to the toxins produced by the infection, so the body has to detoxify a bit even after the infection is defeated.
