Im scared to get lice?

I've had it before and lemme tell you my mom would yell at me she actually hit me cuz i got it shes like its because your dirty im like w.e and i got it from my friend but im scared if i ever get it again i take a shower everyday and i put mousse or hairspray after i straghten my hair i feel like the heat from the straightner will kill the lice with the heat but not sure i dont share anything like to do with hair but im still scared please help me get of this paranoia and i also shower in hot water to because im so scared help me please :) !

Okay, calm down sweetie, everything will be alright. From a biologists point of view: lice are pest that travel from one human to another, drinking their blood. They live in hair that is too clean or too dirty. But there really is no lice-proof way of living. If you get lice, you get lice. The best treatment is to use Lice-killing shampoo. But don't use it when you don't have lice, because it'll damage your hair. The heat won't really affect them, they're resistant little buggers. Its okay to not want to get them (who does) but you can't be afraid of them, because there's nothing you can do about if; its like being afraid of rain. The best you can do is enjoy sweet vengeance and kill them all when they get to you. Good luck! ;-)
